Looking through my photos you will notice that I often use HDR or other techniques of extending dynamic range. I do this because it is the way I see the world, not because I find it cool.
I'm also (or mostly) experienced software developer (I've been programming since I was 10... it's 16 years now) currently working as a developer at HDRsoft - creators of great Photomatix Pro and Photomatix Essentials. Please note that opinions expressed here represent my thoughts and opinions only and not the opinions of my employer.
In the past I worked in a few industries including video gaming and mobile (but also related to gaming). I also took part in a number of open-source projects related to computer games and 3D engines (as I was always passionate about real-time computer graphics), in several I was lead-programmer. In fact, it was graphics programming that introduced me to HDR for the very first time.
I love sharing knowledge so from time to time I try to give you some tips and advice on this blog. If you have any questions or something isn't clear, just leave a comment or drop me an email - I'd be happy to answer.
